Online Work ScheduleBelow you will find a summary of the houses under construction. Our builder keeps several homes in process at any time to maximize efficiency. Unfortunately, due to the nature of construction, it is difficult to for us to plan months in advance as to what or where work will be required. It is also important for you to know that our Saturday work schedule runs from 8:30am to 4pm. We will provide lunch for our volunteers. It is very important that you email us at mcheshire@maconhabitat.org if you are planning on attending a Saturday work day. The work during the week is not as concretely scheduled, so please call our office if you are interested. We often have repeat workers during the week who are performing community service hours or who are experiencing a break in employment. Check with us often and we hope to see you at the work site soon! On the work day meet us at the parking lot of Southside Community Church, 4160 Roy Avenue by 8:30 AM and I will lead you to the work site, a block or two away. Call me if you are late, 478 550-8123. It is necessary that volunteers understand that we must bring anticipated materials to the work site based upon the number and skill of the volunteers that day and that our staff works a full day. The volunteers who committed for the work day are the work force for that day, all day. We are building a house that must be done on a schedule and we cannot cater to groups who wish to only work a half day unless they organize their group to provide enough people to work two shifts, breaking a lunch.
