Habitat Week 2025

World Habitat Day is celebrated on the first Monday of October each year. In 2025, World Habitat Day will be observed on October 6th, providing a platform for discussions and initiatives focused on urban development and housing. Join us in celebrating Habitat Week 2025 here at Macon Area Habitat!

During the week of October 6-12 we will be hosting a giving campaign, community events, a volunteer day, and our Home Court pickleball tournament!

To build on Macon Area Habitat's history, we are hosting a giving campaign to support our mission of eliminating substandard housing in the Macon area! We have made a huge difference over the past 34 years. Help us continue our work for years to come!

Macon Area Habitat for Humanity invites you to join us for a home dedication on October 7 at 1:00 PM
at Feb Avenue. Join us as we celebrate our newest home owner, the completion of “Josh House”, all of
the volunteers, and sponores that made it possible. Due to limited parking on Feb Avenue, please park at
the church on Holt Ave, 1st Thessalonians Church of God In Christ in Macon, which is directly across
from Feb Ave. and a short walk to our site.

ReStore sale Kick-off Day

The Macon Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore provides a place for the community to donate building
materials, furniture, and household items and a place to shop for great deals to help with home repairs and
furnishings. Proceeds from the ReStore help fund Habitat’s mission to provide life-changing
homeownership opportunities. The ReStore will hold a 10% off sale for all items from Thursday, October
8 through Saturday, October 11. The ReStore is open Tuesday-Friday from 10 am-4pm, Saturday 9am-
3pm, and is located at 690 Holt Avenue.

Home Court Under Construction

Friday Oct. 10th

The Home Court Pickleball Tournament will kick off at Rhythm & Rally Sports & Events on Friday,
October 10. The affiliate is excited to welcome over 100 pickleball players from across the Southeast.
This event has grown from a local gathering to a regional competition with multiple brackets and levels of
play. Join us this year, for the Home Court Under Construction event and Partner party for registered
players a on Friday, October 10 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. where experienced players can test their skills
and new players can enjoy free lessons.Round Robin format, not just for registrants.
