Light More Homes
Macon Area Habitat for Humanity’s Light More Homes annual Christmas light display brings Joy to thousands each year and helps us literally "light more homes" by raising funds to build homes in Macon-Bibb and Jones Counties. MAHFH is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, an ecumenical Christian housing ministry devoted to ending substandard housing across the globe. Houses are built using volunteer labor and in-kind donations and then sold to partner families at no-interest and no-profit. MAHFH was founded in Macon, Georgia in 1986, and to date has served over 120 families through homeownership programs.
Light More Homes was located at Chick-fil-A on Tom Hill Sr. Blvd for 12 years before moving to Mercer Village in 2020. With the need for a larger venue and our long-standing partnerships with Mercer, the decision was made jointly by Habitat, Mercer University and Live @ Lofts to significantly expand the display and move to Mercer Village. In 2020, Presenting Sponsor Live @ Lofts joined additional sponsors as we installed a 52,000 light canopy that spanned Montpelier Avenue and created a gorgeous holiday setting. In 2021, the display expanded around Stadium Drive with a Candy Cane Lane.
