This home was built through a partnership between Bibb County Schools and Macon Area Habitat for Humanity. Students at SOAR Academy had the opportunity to build a home in Macon-Bibb in partnership with Macon Area Habitat for Humanity through a federal program called YouthBuild. The pre-apprenticeship program helps students age 16-24 develop educational and occupational skills.

Thanks to a partnership with the Mercer School of Engineering and funding through the All Points North Foundation, this home has solar panels installed to reduce utility costs and increase the home's sustainability.
